Have been mixing 'Pok' for hopefully what is the last time. Hoping the 3rd version has less of the mistakes of the first version but reclaims some of the energy lost in the second version. Mixing is a whole ocean off the coast of the land you stumbled upon whilst losing your mind recording something you'd long since forgotten how on earth you 'wrote' it in the first place. An ocean that you can immerse in blissly for hours - until you suddenly realise - in actual fact - you're actually drowning!! :)

Until further faint transmissions of the written kind, for now, track 1 - the title track from my album that is still somewhere in the making, 'Faint Transmissions'.
'Faint Transmissions'
For now, not much else to say - except looking forward to the comet this coming week. Praying for clear skies ( though the weather looks pretty terrible all week - so fingers crossed ! ) .....
C/2011 L4 Pan-Starrs should be visible with the naked eye come tues onwards, with a bit of luck anyway. A nice precursor to the end of year comet which possibly will be seen during broad daylight if it lives up to the most optimistic estimates. Will be 1680 all over again - one can hope....

Welcome to the faint transmissions
Welcome to faint transmissions; the sometimes echoes of sights and sounds from my sights and sounds found on my 'main' website......
Below is a photo from a woodland walk on Friday, on the cusp of spring - yet looking remarkably rather like autumn with the strong orange colours of the few remaining leaves clinging on the bare trees. I was there hoping to see Red Kites - but realised they'd probably flown south from what my little 'Birds' App seemed to tell me. Or maybe hopefully see some Buzzards - but I never made it to the nature hide ( as I seemed to walk in accidental circles on two separate walks not really knowing which was I was going ) .
The most exciting encounter was in sound only - hearing a distant ish sounding Tawny Owl. When I ventured off the trail path into the woods to trace the source of this sound all I heard was nothing. The impossibility of not snapping twigs underfoot with every step had surely warned the owl off after barely one or two steps.....
Because of my exciting encounter being only of the aural kind, I cannot post any photos of anything too out of my ordinary - so will be content, as always, to post another of my nature type dreamy photos from the vaults of my one trick pony well oiled machine.... Actually, this one is rather interesting, as stumbling across a pentagram formed in the twig like surroundings made it suddenly all feel interesting ( rather than frustrating not seeing anything that interesting beyond a brave robin - which still managed to fly off just as I reached for my camera ) ... It was nice to see a gentle hommage to mother nature, formed in such a natural unobtrusive way, and in a place that only similar interested souls would actually be inclined to notice at all, too.
I am not sure what purpose this 'extra' transmission blog thing will serve, it's so easy these days to drown in a well of websites whilst forgetting to actually create the very thing you are trying to 'get out there'. So we shall see...
